Ryan Conferido
Ryan “Ryanimay” Conferido is native to Southern California, and currently lives in Downey, the city in LA county where he was born. The introduction to dance began at 16, with his discovery of bboying, through which he collected and learned from circulated videotapes and competed in local tournaments around LA. By age 20, he later found refinement and expansion to his craft by taking a community college Hip-hop course, and thus uncovering the collegiate dance community in California. After a successful run competing in the circuit with the “Sick-Step” dance team, by age 22, he auditioned for the very first season of “So You Think You Can Dance” and became a top 10 finalist. After spending time as a professional dancer and teaching international workshops, he created the dance company, “Quest Crew” along with best friend, Hokuto Konishi. Ryan Conferido
Now , the person with the (un)healthy obsession with Asian dancers alluded to in last week’s post is me , and I now feel the overwhelming need to present to you the man who started it all , Mr Ryan “Ryanimay” Conferido – dancer extraordinaire .
My obsession started when he was a contestant on the first season of the American (and original) version of So You Think You Can Dance in 2005 , and it has grown ever since .
Especially when I found out that he’s also a musician (<– link to one of his songs , not explanation as to what the word “musician” means) .
Ryan was born in 1983 , or so it is claimed . Personally , I’m not sure he was born at all , as he does things with his body which should not be humanly possible . Hence , my theory is that he is some sort of lovely cyborg . Or alien . Really , check out some videos on YouTube – you’re not supposed to do a back flip and land on your head without seriously injuring yourself ! Whatever his origins though , they designed him really well – very hot indeed .

American hip-hop dance crew
Quest Crew is an American hip-hop dance crew from Los Angeles, California who were declared winners of the third season of America's Best Dance Crew.[1] They made their first few appearances individually on shows like So You Think You Can Dance and at events such as Kollaboration 8 and World of Dance. They helped with the choreography for well-known duo LMFAO and have previously toured with them as well. On August 29, 2015, Quest Crew was declared all-star champions of Season 8 of America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC) receiving $100,000 and the ABDC trophy again. This is the crew's second time being declared champion of MTV's hit show.
History
The name "Quest Crew" reflects the support that the Quest Learning Center, located in Artesia, California, has had on growth within the team and individually.[2] Quest Crew won the title of America's Best Dance Crew on the third season of the show and consists of eleven members. Team members originally performed with the SickStep dance troupe, but later disbanded
