Film director and producer Zubair Khan hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He has worked on a number of projects, such as theatre productions, documentaries, TV series commercials, commercials for Hindi TV, and short films. When Khan was younger, he used to sell ice candies. Business dealings between the director and seller took place in front of Pahlaj Nihalani's theatre, known as "Nishat." He formed relationships with the members of the theatre group and was fascinated by the world of theatre performing. The artist's initial break came via a model's portfolio, and he went on to land several short films and Hindi commercial jobs.
